2nd Chapter is a multi-faceted design company covers many artistic genres. Stephan Hudson, the company's owner wears many hats, revealing his artistic abilities as an illustrator, graphic designer, photographer and entrepreneur.
A native of East Orange, New Jersey, and graduate of Rowan University, where he earned a B.S. in graphic design, Hudson began his journey as an artist by working freelance for various design companies including Untouchable Entertainment and Devine Rhymes, and serving as a photographer covering local and celebrity events.
Inspired by his success as a freelancer, in 2002 Hudson launched 2nd Chapter Design. Under 2nd Chapter Design, Hudson has designed more than a dozen children's book covers and rendered illustrations and photographs that have been featured in Poetry from the Masters: The Pioneers and Prayers for the Smallest Hands. He has designed web sites, brochures and other marketing collateral for companies in various industries, including technology, education, entertainment, publishing and fashion/beauty.
Hudson established 2nd Chapter Photo in 2005. Although its mirrors the 2nd Chapter Design business concept, 2nd Chapter Photo stands as its own entity and is dedicated to producing high quality, dynamic and creative photography. Hudson has photographed events such as The Harlem Book Fair, Jessica Quallis’ Beautiful Disaster Fashion Launch, weddings, and celebrity red carpet events featuring R&B singer Brandy, Trey Songz, and Eric Hudson.
2nd Chapter Photo strives to expand its work and reach by undertaking new projects that will challenge and reflect what is aesthetically pleasing to the human eye.
